Testimonials

Jenny

We came to Helen with our 10-year-old son who had a phobia of dogs resulting from a traumatic event when he was 3.  Through the course of sessions, we found Helen to be professional, very approachable, friendly and extremely caring with Adam.  She set realistic tasks for us to do in between sessions and encouraged Adam to try and complete the tasks.  Through the course of sessions, Adam’s confidence grew as together Adam and Helen tackled the phobia.  Adam now is happy to be around dogs and has discovered he really likes dogs!  We are a family that loves to be outdoors and our time together where we encounter dogs has been totally transformed.  We are all so thankful to Helen for all her help and support, but most of all Adam is.

Adam’s thoughts

The sessions I had with Helen were fun.  I was getting more confident after every session.  I felt like Helen understood what I was scared of.  I really enjoyed the sessions and looked forward to going.  I am now no longer scared of dogs. Thank you Helen.

Lily (9 years)

I looked forward to my sessions with Helen each week. I liked to play and Helen helped me to be calm.

Julie (Mum to Lily)

Helen was an altogether calming influence on our daughter. She made her feel at ease very quickly and Lily looked forward to every meeting with her. Lily was able to come to terms with our family situation and deal with her everyday life with less anger.

Sally (mother)

Helen started working with our daughter about a year after we separated. Helen provided a safe forum for our daughter to express how she was feeling without worrying about hurting either of our feelings. The sessions helped our daughter to move on but also helped us.
